Remote Play: your PS5 is the host
Use the same account on Portal and PS5, and a compatible installed game. Remote Play itself does not require Plus; the game’s online multiplayer mode may. The official guidance is at least 5 Mbps, with 15 Mbps recommended for a better experience. Network quality still matters. N24
Cloud: check the game, account and country
The checked source covers selected PS5 games, including eligible owned digital titles—not your entire library. PS3 and PS4 games are not supported in Portal’s cloud route. An installed compatible PS4 game may instead use Remote Play from PS5. N22 · N23
The cloud guidance separates a 5 Mbps minimum connection from at least 7 Mbps for 720p and 13 Mbps for 1080p. These are official requirements, not a promise of measured quality on your connection. N23

How the answer changed
The November 2025 announcement broadened cloud access to eligible digital PS5 games in your library.
